In Africa, meat is gold! Because meat is a real scarce commodity here the Trophy Price only includes the Trophy and the field dressing of Trophies. Ownership of the meat stays with the reserve or ranch where the animal was hunted. Some of the meat goes to the kitchen where it is prepared for clients during their stay. The remainder is usually used as rations for staff or is sold off to butcheries.
In other African Countries where hunting land is not privately owned the meat goes to adjacent villages who also provide game scouts and other staff that work on these concessions. It is usually compulsory for hunting Outfitters to also use the labour of the directly adjacent villages.
